Is the Strait of Hormuz still blocked?

On the 28th of February 2026, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu unilaterally decided to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran, without provocation. As part of this illegal strike on a sovereign state, the Republic shut down all traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. This entire unprovoked attack and subsequent crippling blow to the world's economy could have been avoided.

Since the 28th of February, the Strait of Hormuz has been soft-blockaded for all but three hours on the 8th of April.

America, remember this: your vote matters. Don't stay home next time.
